A community co-operative is a type of organization that many rural neighbourhoods have put in place to help develop ideas and projects that benefit its members and the community. These are grassroots organizations that advocate on priority issues. Partnerships are the key to the success of these co-ops. See the links page for more information on community co-ops. The Ryde Community Co-operative was founded with one goal in mind.. a stronger community! We formed a co-operative because we believed in the principle of working together to be one voice and one community. By doing this we have received overwhelming support from not only our members and the local community, but from District social agencies and economic development organizations. |
